Margaret Davis
Margaret Davis is currently indulging her lifelong desire to become a novelist. She has completed one novel, Going Straight, for which she is seeking a publisher. This tells the story of a lesbian couple who decide to have a neighbor father a child for them and of the resulting jealousies, misunderstandings, and deceptions that throw all three lives into turmoil. She is now at work on another novel that depicts the tale of a young woman caught up in the politics of a large corporation during turbulent times. Margaret received a PhD in Sociology from Stanford University in 1979. As a senior research sociologist at SRI International, she researched and published numerous articles on the impact of government programs and work organizations on family life. Her first non-fiction book, Families in a Working World, was published in 1982. Later, she worked for Pacific Gas & Electric where for five years she was director of their internal management consulting section. In 1996, her second book, A Practical Guide to Organization Design (co-authored with David Weckler) was published. Margaret lives in Belmont with her dog, cat, and husband. |
