About CWC SF/Peninsula:

The California Writers Club was founded in 1909 by Jack London and friends. We are the nation's oldest professional club for writers.

CWC is a statewide non-profit organization now 17 branches strong with more than 1100 members. We are dedicated toeducating writers of all levels and disciplines in the craft of writing and marketing their work. Writers of all disciplines and experience are welcome.

The San Francisco / Peninsula branch meets on the third Saturday of each monthly (except when noted) at the Belmont Library in Belmont, CA. Each meeting includes a guest speaker, refreshments, readings of member's work, and the opportunity to meet and get to know other writers.

We also host the Jack London Writers Conference every other year. The next conference will be in 2009.
