SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR 2008 SF/MEMBER ANTHOLOGY
You must be an Active or Associate member in good standing of the California Writers' Club San Francisco/Peninsula Branch through June 30, 2008.
Initial submissions must be received by (deadline has been extended).
Submissions may be made in one of the following categories:
Fiction - (essay, short story, flash fiction, short fiction, novel excerpt, experimental, or similar) - maximum one work per author
Nonfiction (memoirs, essays, and creative nonfiction) - maximum one work per author
Poetry - maximum two works per author
Each eligible author is entitled to make submission in only one of the above categories.
Fiction and nonfiction submissions have a maximum length of 5,000 words, excluding titles. Works exceeding this length will be truncated after the 5,000th word. There will be no exceptions.
Although works may have been published elsewhere, you cannot submit the same material as published in a previous CWC ezine.
Submitting authors will warrant they have all rights to material and extend permission to the California Writers' Club San Francisco/Peninsula Branch to publish/post material in its 2008 Member Anthology.
The California Writers' Club San Francisco/Peninsula Branch will not providing copyediting services for submitting authors, although an author may be contacted by a member of the Branch committee responsible for overseeing the 2008 Member Anthology's publication in order to have the author review his or her work prior to final publication.
Send eligible submissions electronically to pen-ezine@sfpeninsualwriters.com in one of the following three formats: Document (.doc) Rich Text Format (.rtf) or HyperText Markup Language (.html or .htm) format. Some manuscript formatting may be lost in the final publication.
All submission must include the name of the member, pen name for the anthology if applicable, address, phone number, and email address. An optional biography (up to 150 words) may be included for inclusion in the published anthology.
