angel, Jerry Mulenberg

"Thanks for a great conference!"

Everyone gathered for lunch...

...to hear our noon keynote speaker,
author Gail Tsukiyama.

"Will be here next year.
This conference had everything I needed."

Gail's talk inspired us and had us laughing out loud!

We had 14 agents and 14 faculty available for Ask-a-Pro. Attendees
got 15 minute slots with a Pro in the morning and afternoon.

"Excellent conference all the way around.
Keep up the good work."

Martha Alderson's popular plot workshop
was filled with great tips.

The humor writing workshop was also well attended.

Sheila Bender presented the memoir workshop.
>

"Sheila Bender ran the best memoir workshop I've ever attended. Memoir can be more than just a diary."
"Molly Fisk helped me finally understand where to take
my poetry in terms of direction and mood."

Molly Fisk ran a standing room
only poetry workshop.

Our fiction agent panels had six agents per panel and each session was packed. Attendees said they learned the hard lessons of publishing during these workshops.
"I got more out of this conference in one day than I did out of two days at the San Francisco Writers Conference."

We had 40 raffle prizes that included Agent sessions, editor reviews,
Web site building and a Half Moon Bay writers weekend at a
bed and breakfast. All the prizes were awarded.

James Dellassandro, author of 1906, gave
the closing keynote address at the end
of a long day to a packed Ballroom.
